Hey there everyone!

I know, I know... It's been a while since my last post on this blog. Don't worry I'm not gone or anything, I have just been really busy lately. However, that doesn't mean that I have completely neglected my projects, my fingers still hurt from this morning's knitting actually. I mainly have been making fingerless gloves for my family members, girlfriend, and some other people. (Not that it's actually cold where I live, but still..). I also have made socks for my girlfriend and myself (had been working on her socks for quite some time but they turned out real good).

However, my main project right now is the famous 'Mood blanket', a project that was big in 2014. The idea is that you crochet a granny square every day for a year. The color of the square represents your mood that day. For example pink is for loving, light blue is for relaxed, green is for stressed, yellow is for happy etc. I think I have about 10 colors that I'm working with. You can decide for yourself how many colors you want and connect them to your moods :)

Right now I'm working with two different granny square patterns. I got them from the internet and they're both very basic. I have actually never done anything like this, so I wanted the pattern to be easy, however I decided to use two basic patterns to still make my blanket a bit more special. It's also great because it doesn't cost you a lot of time.

You can choose to connect the squares while you're working, or you can do it once you're done with all of them. I decided to connect them while I'm working on them since it just makes everything easier. Also, I'm already crying just thinking of having to connect 365 of those stupid squares to each other.

So, I've only been doing this for 5 days now (today is the sixth but I still have to make that one) but I'm really enjoying this project. I normally don't care so much about my moods or anything, but this really just makes it more fun and makes you actually think about it. To anyone who likes this but thinks it's waaaaaay too much work: you're wrong. It's only a maximum of 30 minutes a day and it's super fun! :) Here's a picture of my colors and what I have so far. I will keep you guys posted as I go along with this blanket.
